En bunt citat av Koontz

Dean R Koontz är en vis man. Åtminstone utifrån vad som framkommer i hans böcker. 1993 åkte jag till Indien, och i väntan på att flyget skulle ta mig hem igen fördrev jag tiden med att äta fantastisk glass och läsa Koontz och Eddings - därav citaten på engelska. Jag tänker inte försöka mig på en översättning - skaffa ett uppslagsverk och lär dig nåt! :-)

En klart läsvärd författare! Jag gillar inte Stephen King eftersom jag tycker att hans böcker är för seeeeega och långdragna, femtio sidor av händer-ingenting-över-huvud-taget, två sidor där det händer nåt, åttio sidor av händer-ingenting-över-huvud-taget, en sida händelse, osv. Koontz, däremot, har samma lågmälda sätt att berätta, men det händer nåt hela tiden. Har hittills sträckläst varje Koontz-bok jag påbörjat!

För den som inte gillar skräckrysare avråder jag läsningen. Exempelvis "Viskningar" gav mig ruskiga kårar och krypningar i nacken. Han skriver dessutom med samma ordekvilibristik som Pratchett, även om en del går förlorat i översättningen.
